I'm advertising a commission junction product on Plenty of fish and I'm using Prosper for tracking.
To track the creative ids which link should {creativeid:} go in? Should it be in the kw= part at the end of the prosper link or in the subid part of the commission junction link or do I put it in the URL in the campaign section of Prosper202?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You don't need to use {creativeid:} at all, and in fact, I'd recommend avoiding it unless you have some automated solution in place to match it up with your ads.
Normally on Prosper I'd recommend creating a custom keyword - Mr Green's POF Uploader will do this automatically (refer to the guide on how to use it). If you're not using that, just make the keyword something like nameofcampaign-adnumber, so you can easily see in Prosper which campaign and which ad the keyword refers to.
Why? If you use {creativeid:} as your keyword, your keyword list will entirely consist of strings of numbers, which you'll then have to search for one by one in the POF interface. Manually set CAMPAIGNNAME-ADNUMBER, on the other hand, and you'll immediately know what ad that keyword refers to.
If you REALLY want to use {creativeid:}, you use it like {age:} or {state:} - put it in the Prosper link. In #7, Get Links, in Prosper, you can either set them as C variables or as the keyword. Or, as you say, you could put them at the end of the prosper link.
However, as I say, I'd advise manually setting keywords.
Thanks that makes things much clearer!
