I'm having bad results with JumpTap and mobile list building strategy this days.
I'm testing 5 LP's like the sample attached below with email lead to my list through JumpTap. I tried everything targeting US, UK, Iphone / android / specific carriers / specific category and had no positive ROI only bad numbers like 180 clicks at 0.05c and 0 conversions. CTR on Text banners is from 0.3 to 1% so sometimes I get up to 100 clicks per day.
Am I really doing it all wrong to get no conversions?

180 clicks in total? If so, 5 landers alone it's just 36 clicks per lander which I'd consider nothing. Given the carrier / handset combinations in mobile, you're probably way too low on stats.
How much did you spent in total for what kind of payout btw. ?
No in total is over 400 clicks spent around 50$ and got around 4 conversions. Payout is 1$ as it is my list so it is common payout
400 clicks on 5 landers it's 80. On US & UK it's 40 per lander. Given all the possible carriers and not even starting to talk about handsets, I doubt that data is relevant at all. Try to somehow test with a system and not just shooting the shit and hoping for something to stick. Even if a carrier/handset combination is profitable for now, there's any sample size in it.
I'm not a mobile expert so I might be wrong, although given the variables involved I think most guys will agree.
You may not have enough data to really make a decision, although in addition this particular LP could use some work. The benefits are a wall of text, especially on a mobile device. Reduce the number of benefits and make them a list with bullets, easier to read. Also, your call to action is a little weak... the user may think "wtf is inside underground?" since there is no reference to it earlier. Maybe instead try "click here to get fucking ripped" or something that echoes immediate results.
Thanks for the tips guys I will test out more and try to change LP a bit
Dude that headline is crap.
Here's my secret? What secret?
Here's a better headline: "Six Pack in Six Weeks!! How I Did it..."
In regards to the copy I would change the wording to positive. You say NO 3 times, by the time I get to the email, I'll say NO as well.
My 2 cents. Good luck!
Offer probably just sucks. I've tested tons of things that get hundreds of clicks and only a few conversions but when I test a different offer in the same vertical it will start out profitable.
You need to spend some time in the mobile forums to get a better grasp of what's involved with mobile. 400 untargeted clicks really mean nothing. You should probably get 5-10x that to start making some more informed decisions.
Before you do that though...your lander needs some serious work. You gotta slap people in the face with your mobile lander and give them a VERY good reason to hand over their email. In general, emails are worth a lot less from mobile.
Ok great tips here, very new to mobile game and mobile LP's so still learning, didn't noticed much threads where people build their own list through mobile so I still wonder if this is a good idea
Call to action sucks IMHO, got to try something much more easier and clear. Get inside underground? Hell no, I'll stay here
subscribe, download, get the book, instant access, send it, get the email, email it to me, tons of other choices for CTA. Test them all as well as headlines, get at least 100 clicks to each combination. Start with 5 headlines and 2 easiest call to action buttons and you will start seeing patterns
Yeah as fjk said thats way too early to call any shots, especially on mobile with the 100's of variables of carriers/handsets/sources/countries haha it really does take a lot of testing money to get mobile working in a real split test, but the prize at the end is most likely a very long term campaign as its very hard to spy and rip. Have you got a decent server as well, does your page load relatively quickly? There is a good guide Caurmen released on minimizing load time for mobile, the shit helps a lot for list building
ask them 2 or 3 questions (short survey) before asking for an email address, on mobile you have to ENGAGE the user this how i get such good returns on my bizz op email submits
P.S you can use jquery mobile page transitions such as slide, fade in and so on to move them from question to question nice and smoothly
Here's that mobile lander tutorial - hope it helps!
