If you're having tracking problems, I feel bad for you, son -
So I'm writing a massive series of tutorials to fix them.
(I'd never make it as a hip-hop artist.)
Yep, the Stack That Money tutorial engines are revving up for another massive mega-guide series - this time, focusing on tracking.
I'm going to be taking the two most commonly-used tracking programs, Prosper 202 and CPVLab, and aiming to answer EVERY question you could possibly want to ask.
If you don't understand something tracking-related. If you've got a problem or a niggle with tracking that you've never managed to fix. If you're just getting into affiliate marketing and tracking is, as we say in Scotland, "doin' yer fuckin' heid in, man" - let me know here and I'll make sure to look into the answers for our tutorials.
Or alternatively, if you're an affiliate manager, a coach or an offer owner, and there are questions you get asked again and again by affiliates - let me know what those questions are. I'll see what I can do about giving you succinct, clear answers for your affs.
So if there's anything Prosper 202 or CPVLab-related that you'd like to know how to do, tell me below!
dude... one for VENDORS would be awesome.
how to set the shit up on your landing page.... how to track sales...
keep in mind, not everyone who buys traffic is an affiliate, but all these tracking things are just made for affiliates. (plus they're not too "user friendly).
Dave,
I remember you saying you were having problems with this back when we met. Hit me up on Skype and I will walk you through install and how to setup for what you want to do.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOB..... i want some apple moonshine man!
Ive always been confused on how pixels (image, iframe, postback) actually work. I understand that prosper202 sends a unique click, and then it fires on the offer conversion page once that unique click matches, but how does the actual system work inside the database / tracker and on the network side of things?
I'd be interested in some info on how to optimally clean up p202/cpvlab databases when you're doing volume.
^^ +1 for this, with cpvlab it seems when number of campaigns increase it just loads very slow. Dont know whats wrong with it.
Good stuff, guys, keep 'em coming!
I would like to learn how to dump data.
Caurmen, You are a huge asset to this forum brotha!
OK, guys, I've got some info for all of the questions here coming soon!
@vidivo - let me know if today's guide to Postbacks and Pixels answers your question. If not, I'll do something more detailed.
@zeno, vipinext - Gotcha, this is a big one. I'm going to put some serious time into this question next week.
What would really help me here is a BIG test database to use. I don't run huge volume with either P202 or CPVLab, although I use both, so if anyone would like to donate me a dump of a couple million clicks' worth of data to attempt to speed up, that'd be awesome.
No worries if not, though - I can always produce a simulated load to test. Real data would be helpful but I do understand the privacy concerns!
