How does my lander look?

So I tried my hand at making a lander for the first time in my life, and this is how it has come out till now.

Its just the format of course, gonna change the text and images. Tried to add a countdown script after the Call To Action but its not working somehow.

What do you think I can change in this?

Something like this could probably work on PoF.. Crappy landers tend to perform decent

Where are you planning to run this?

You're pushing the amateur feel quite a bit here sir...

I'm a new AM but I'll give some feedback

- logo is a bit in the middle of everything, maybe put it out of the way on top left or right
- the testimonial is out of the flow of things as well, it's lost on the left.
- image need a caption cos apparently everyone reads caption (could be the testimonial?)
- button is flat and not appealing
- make sure that scarcity push doesnt end up to be off on the right
- button could include some benefit such as "click here to get a date" (I dont recommend that example)

- Finch has a post somewhere with an interesting LP layout. Maynzie too. Too lazy to search. I recommend checking all their posts anyway.

LOL my bad, that sounded really bad haha. I just re-read what I wrote and felt like an asshole lol..Anyway, def check out Finch's ideas on building out landers for dating. It's in one of his premium posts I believe - Possibly the first one.

There’s a few STM dating landing pages flying around you could use as a guide line

http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ing-Adult-more

If you do a quick google search you should be able to find lots of java count down scripts.

Ah its perfectly fine brother. In fact its better. Harsh criticism is always much better than sugar coated lies.
Will check Finch's premium posts out.

I have the scripts, not able to get them work somehow. HTML is not my area of expertise. I wish WWW was in C++

Hand coding brother. I find builders too buggy.

haha duly noted.

Coming from a web-development background I've always found DreamWeaver to be a handy tool for building landers, but I'm sure there's many more out there that do the job better.

Java countdown scripts - if you want to post the script you're trying to get to work and the errors you get, we have the technology, we can debug it

Finally got it to work after going on a searching spree for 2 hours. Thanks though.

Dreamweaver and WYSIWYG web builder. I am a bit old fashioned actually. A C++ coder so comfortable with Notepad++ and such programs

That's all good, but eventually you will find yourself needing to leverage your more important skills and spend less time coding landers. IMO better to use a WYSIWYG editor like Muse and smash out the basic layout of divs then rip the code apart quickly.

What you could do with is a landing page builder built for affiliates...

*cough cough*
