iMobitrax or STM Mobile tracker? (8)

iMobitrax or STM Mobile tracker?

Hi guys,
I'm using prosper currently, but as soon as i want to start running some mobile campaigns i'm thinking of switching o other platform. The tracking solution i need should be able to handle both desktop and mobile campaigns. So I need to decide which one to choose - iMobitrax or STM mobile traker.
What would you recommend?

imobitrax technically since they keep your mobile user agents updated all the time.. but if you dont plan on going too in depth with mobile and just want to test it out then the stm mobile tracker will do just fine

Take the STM tracker to start.

1) You're used to Prosper202, no learning curve required.
2) Now with cookieless tracking!
3) Free.

No point jumping into mobile and going straight for a monthly sub when there is a perfectly good tracker for free. It can handle desktop and mobile fine, there is just an extra 50-100 ms because of the additional lookups. On most desktop traffic that's not going to make much of a difference. Once you run more mobile volume, reassess the situation and see if iMobiTrax or MobAffTracker provide benefits that justify their cost for you specifcally, e.g. less click loss (if occurring with p202 tracking), certain features you will use, the time saved is worth the money, etc.

I'm obviously somewhat biased here as one of the STM team (although I hear great things about the other trackers too), but I'd agree with Zeno.

My recommendation would definitely be to try the free solution first - if it doesn't suit your needs or if you want some of the features that iMobiTrax or MobAffTracker provide, think about upgrading then.

iMobiTrax is good, it's what I use - but it sure fucks up quite a lot. This is my third downtime due to database corruption, or basically, too many clicks recorded.

second that..if you're just starting with mobile the STM tracker is more than fine..If you need more advanced stats and performance check out imobitrax and mobafftracker.
