ExoClick Tracking & Tokens

Remember how i said i was gonna be asking stupid questions... Well, here goes...

So, after running about 50-100 usd of traffic through exoclick and starting to dig through the data, i realized that i had no way of knowing which ads/creatives produced conversions.... I only know the sites/LP combo...

I used 1 campaign URL for all creatives and as such all i see is the campaign ID...

Is there a way to get the ad ID passed back through Exoclick and CPVlab through tokens? Or is it like TJ where i have to create a unique URL for each creative i upload?

-H

I've never used CPVLab, but with Prosper/STM I just put the banner name in the keyword field. So, you'll have one link, but just have to update the keyword for each banner. I assume CPVLab has a keyword field. The click data of the banners for the traffic you've already ran should be in ExoClick by the way.

Here is the URL i used...

http://mytracking.com/base.php?c=9&key=74fbb9c15f55c35a63c4d589d7d25a51& keyword={src_hostname}&cpnid={campaign_id}&usrch={ keyword}&adID={ID}

I added in the adID{ID} and tried manually filling it in with a "Bigbutts1" or something... It doesnt show up in my stats when i click on the ad...

What am i doing wrong here?

Here's a pic of my CPVLab setup..

Basically, i guess im asking how can i create a token and pass it in statically through CPVLab? Up until now the responses i got seem to be appending an adname under the "keyword"..

I tried adding "Bigbutts" in &usrch{Bigbutts} and i saw it in my stats when i clicked on the ad in exoclick admin panel... So, how do i create a token of my choosing and pass it in?

You wouldn't need to create a token for the ad name, so the { and } aren't required. { and } are only for keywords that are dynamically created by the traffic source (ExoClick). For other things you want to pass through to your tracker, you would just assign it normally. It would just be:

Code:
http://mytracking.com/base.php?c=9&key=74fbb9c15f55c35a63c4d589d7d25a51&keyword={src_hostname}&cpnid={campaign_id}&usrch=Bigbutts1

&usrch is already an exoclick token, its supposed to be for a search string or something.... Are you telling me there is no way to add an extra token/parameter to pass in statically? I just have to keep passing it in under something else?

I'm not familiar with CPVLab, but with Prosper/STM you can assign Bigbutts1 to the c1-c8 fields. Someone with experience with CPVLab will have to chime in on where to put it.

http://help.exoclick.com/Dynamic_Tags

There is no dynamic token for what ad you are using in Exoclick. That means you have to input it into the link when you create the ad.

So instead of putting &adID={ID} for your ad token, you need to manually enter what the ad id is for each link you input into your campaigns.

So for one image, make it &ad=bigtitbrunette, for another image, make it &ad=blondeblowjob or whatever you want to name your ads so you can keep track of them.

Yes, i did that and all it did was &ad=Bigtits and i find it in the URL on the page when i arrive to the page from exoclick... CPVlab doesnt seem to absorb it into the DB....

http://mytracking.com/base.php?c=9&key=74fbb9c15f55c35a63c4d589d7d25a51& keyword={src_hostname}&cpnid={campaign_id}&usrch={ usrch}&ad=Bigtits

Once i arrive at the page the url becomes

LPdomain.com/LP.html?ad=Bigtits

It doesnt go into CPVlab
