SEO Ask Me Anything (SEO Director)

Hey guys, I just started getting into PPC as far as AFFILIATE marketing goes. But I have run a small SEO firm plus work as a SEO director for a large group of companies. Ask me anything about SEO and I will give the best answer to my ability. Alternatively, you can like my new blog via facebook with my case studies and tips.

what tools do you use for automation? and how do i get my hands on them? ive tried senukex and it worked pretty good but kinda expensive.

are there other tools you can use and do you outsource?

for your SEO for the firms im assuming its all white hat? and if so how do you do since i would consider anything automated slighlty blackhat?

@thenorwegian - I'm not as expert as nauthiz616 on SEO, I suspect, but you may find this link interesting from a checklist perspective: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-to-rank . It's white-hat, but interesting.

balls to the wall mass spam still works for the most part, however its very short term. where it used to be you could rank for months with mass spam, its often only weeks or even days now before the slap. huge niches like payday are now manually reviewed and sites are often slapped within hours. g has significantly upped their game in the last 6 mo's.

let me just say this when it comes to seo in 2013, less is more.

its fucked up now.

seems like sites with no history are getting ranked fast and high.

vs. sites that have a lotta history, links etc. are getting penalized.

^^ what he said...

The easiest way to build long term seo now is to actually create a useful site that people return to.. (it's an old cliche but is now more relevant than ever)

Spend your time creating that rather than building links.. The links will come naturally if you focus on content/tools/videos etc etc.. create stuff people "want" to share..

what does that tell you? google has gotten very good at detecting un-natural link building. the serps are such a mess right now because so many sites have been penalized. what's often left are pages that have not been seo'd.

that they dont know what the fuck they're doing? lol.....

Relevant and interesting (and written by an STM member): http://www.viperchill.com/new-seo/

It's also worth noting that in Pat Flynn's new Niche Site Duel, he's decided not to focus on ranking with Google at all, because things are too unstable right now.

Seo still works for many people that know what theyr doing. All the automating tools in my opinion dont really work good. All that shit sucks since so much ppl use it. Plus bad links always get removed and if a good amount of ur links is removed ur site willl drop and it's way harder to rank it back after. If you want good rankings you need to build your own network of pr sites than change them up to make the sites relevant. PR+Relevancy=Rankings. Page rank hasn't been updated in a long time so you can buy expired domains with pr 0-1 and build a good network just gotta make sure theyr all on diff ips and the domains have a a good amount of backlinks pointing to them plus good citation flow, trust flow in majesticseo. That's pretty much what people are doing that are killing at greyhat seo and this is perfect for client seo. There is no secret of any sort. If you want super quick rankings u can try buying like 10 of pr 2-3 domains, 301 to money site and blast them with links.

SEO on Goo.gle.. lol. They dont want to send you free traffic, they want u to use Ad.words and pay for it instead.
