I started running on FB again a couple of months ago and noticed some things had changed. My strategy before hand was to bid really high from start. As long as I got a ctr of .15 or higher, I could basically leave it and FB would drop the bid for me.
Now, after about the 1 - 2 day mark my CPC starts slowly rising. Even when CTR increases after day 2 my CPC will always go up no matter what. The only way for me to get those prices of the first couple of days is to manually drop bids but I lose so much traffic when I do. To get to those first 2 days of a new camp prices, I have bid about .5 cent higher than that bid and by that point I'm getting the CPC I want but almost no traffic. This has happened to every new camp I've made and ran for more than a couple of days.
Any ideas on how to combat this?
The same here. I lower the bid, but keep it on +0.03 over maximum suggested price. It doesn't change the volume and keep the CPC low.
