Going Direct, Should I mention them existing affiliate network?

I wanted to direct with one advertiser, earlier they were not interested but when I replied that my traffic has been backing out for them and been sending them the same from couple of months, they are asking me from which network am sending them traffic from.
While mentioning name can certainly give me a bump from them coz I know my traffic is good but still would love to get a bit of advice from you guys...

What would you do, if you were in my shoes ?

I would not disclose. I would say smth like "Im testing new sources and placements, so the traffic will be slightly different anyway, but let's start on a small scale and you will see the quality for yourself and if you like it, I will send more to you directly and scale"

well if your traffic backed out well for them i see no reason why you shouldn't mention the cpa network if you want to go direct. that way they can see that your traffic is good.. on the other hand if your traffic quality sucks i wouldn't mention the network. but in that case going direct wouldn't make sense anyways.

I really appreciate your input on this buddy, well I have passed quality check already and have been sending traffic from couple of months, my traffic was so good that I have been offered a bump on network and advertiser is reaching out to network every other day to get more of my traffic.

then i would name the network..that way they can hook you up with a high payout from the beginning without doing a quality check again.

Depends on the network you're working with. I'm always all for transparency we encourage our pubs to go direct but sometimes they can't due to cash flow or they can't get high enough CPAs as a new publisher.

Yeah that's what am thinking too...Will let them know network tomorrow and see if they can bump me from scratch, right now they are offering just a lil but over the network's payout.

Cash shouldn't be an issue as advertiser said once I will pass quality check they will shift me into faster payment cycle, but mentioning network name could do the same right from the start. Thanks for you input, really appreciate that.

just make sure you negotiate a good deal/payout/payment terms then you should be fine...also get a company check/report of the advertiser to see if they are credit worthy/in a good standing etc...it will cost you 15-70$ but it's worth it trust me.....do your due dilligence! in the end it's business and no one wants to deal with shady broke companies. it's important!
....most ( if quality is top notch) of the times going direct will back out better for you..especially with all the scammy "cpa networks" nowadays. but thats another story.
if you trust your cpa network and feel comfortable with them the 20-30% more margin might not be worth it. on the other side..if you do serious volume you can work closely with the offer owner....test new signup/sales pages etc that are exculsively to you...and much more...give recommendations...which will benefit both sides. if the offer owner is happy you are happy...thats the goal...sounds simple but it isn't :-)

in the end it's your decision...but please do your due dilligence! feel free to pm me.

Yes I would mention the previous network and then they will ask what your affiliate ID was there. A lot of times this helps get a higher payout to start if your quality was good with the network before.
