My Understand of CPVlab... am I correct?

Being a complete noob, I want to explain my understanding of CPV lab & how I use it... would greatly appreciate if someone with experience could tell me if I'm on the right track.

So, essentially CPV lab is for tracking Clicks & Conversions from our ads & LPS. It is our responsibility to categorize & organize this data, since data is utmost importance in this business.

This is where tokens come into play, by using tokens such as, &keyword=KEYWORD. We get a campaign URL that is like http://tracker.com/base.php?c=88&keyword=KEYWORD allowing us to edit out the KEYWORD and apply to each different ad to categorize our data. for example KEYWORD can be edited to US-PH-TOP-BLONDESLUT to show country, traffic source, placement, and ads (Since these are GIVEN, we KNOW this information before we even see traffic, clicks or conversions.)

Also, what tokens you are allowed to use varies from source to source.

is there anything I'm missing? Thanks!

Hey Winny, You are almost right..but my understanding of what you wrote here is a lil confusion...&keyword=%keyword% is where your traffic source sends you out so thatyou know whic keyword is working out and which isn't...You can show which ad placement and country by using subid..but keyword here is for the traffic source..like LeadImpact and TrafficVance

Ah.. thanks sean3, forgot to mention I'm using TJ as a source... it doesnt have dynamic tokens so I'm probably not using CPV to its fullest.

Here's my setup for TrafficJunky

http://tracker.com/base.php?c=88&keyword=Orange_1

Orange is the color scheme of the ad, and 1 is the number of the ad. You can also put an Angle there if you want such as Glasses_1, Tattoos_1. Whatever helps you identify the ad.

There's a section for you to group campaigns and I'll put the country such as Germany, USA, or Australia.

Traffic source obviously identifies TrafficJunky vs. Exoclick vs. JuicyAds.

The actual name of the campaign is where I break things down. I have my setup as Country_Website_Placement.

Example: Germany_PornHub_NTVA, France_YouPorn_NTVB
