tracking CTR with p202 with landers

Hi there,

I have a question about how to track p202 CTR when you're using landers. The way I understand it, you set up your campaign, set up the lander, put the landing page javascript on there, after that do you need to put the PHP or javascript redirect code? If so, where does that go? I've just been putting the landing page code and while this works to track it, it's not tracking the CTR (all my CTR for all campaigns aside from DL are 0%). After that, I get my link code and I throw them in the URL rotator or directly into LI. Any ideas? Thanks.

Dude...

Take the redirect code and paste it in a new php doc, for example /redirect.php. Upload to server. Instead of having your links point to your affiliate URL, point your links to /redirect.php. Voila, tracking CTR...

do not pay attention to worthless stats. focus on what's important.

EPC/Conversion rate

Check out http://nerdyaffiliate.com/

He wrote a script to track LP CTR for 202, he's got some other good posts worth checking out as well.

How is CTR a worthless stat?

Not quite sure how tracking the conversion rate of a lander is worthless.... If I add another step between the ad and the offer, I've got to know if people are clicking through that or simply giving up and never even getting as far as the offer. Then, if I notice the lander has increased my conversion rate because of the pre-sell, I need to concentrate on getting more people to click through the page and make adjustments, so I again need to track the stats on the page's ctr as I make adjustments....

I think what he is trying to imply ever so briefly.....is that ctr on a lp really doesn't matter.....yes changing a lp can change ctr and improve conversion rates but it can also lower conversion rates.....

what matters most is what your paying vs what your making......

so when you change a lp does it improve your overall ROI?

I have changed lps which dropped the CTR but the overall ROI increased by 25%+

cuz in the end.....its the ROI
