Hey Guys,
I had read a thread around here somewhere about what the best way to organize your landers on your site so that you dont go crazy trying to find them and organize them...
ie.
domain.com/offer/language/landding.php or something to that effect...
I up to this point am doing it as follows
vertical.mydomain.com/language/landing.html
Is there a better way so that it doesnt get to complex?
Do you guys know where i can find that info, i tried searching for it, but i cant remember what the keywords were or what context i saw it under...
How do you guys organize your landers and particular in conjunction with geo-redirects and CPVlab/Prosper campaigns?
Thanks,
H
I use something like domain.com/offer/trafficsource/country/x.php
Nothing really complex about that... It's completely up to you. Copying/pasting is trivial so I tend to have copies of landers/files for different traffic source/campaigns/countries as you want to be able to modify things individually without affecting any other campaigns.
If I'm doing adwords, I prefer to keep one landing page per domain just for rating. You don't need to make it too complex though, if you're doing foreign langue landing pages you can include translated keywords in the directories.
I'm not sure there are any threads I can point you to that talks about this topic. Everyone does it their own way.
I usually use a new domain per campaign/angle it helps keep your campaigns safe from "curious" people.
Then I would just use domain.com/country/lander
I got another question somewhat related to this topic:
So I get ONE domain name for each ONE type of niche?
Then I use that domain for different countries like the one you showed above: domain.com/country/lander ?
And only one landing page before linking to my CPA offer? Or should my website be full of content/blog entries? I remember hearing in PPC Formula, that I need a silosite with content relating to the CPA offer. Is that necessary?
MrGreen, do you buy .com or just the cheap .info domains for each campaign/angle? Buying a .com for every angle/campaign would get pretty expensive pretty quick...
I buy new .com's. Maybe saying angle was the wrong word, for example say that I want to test diet on pof, I would usually use one domain even though I would test completely different landers. If the campaign was to work and I want to scale to another traffic source, I would use another domain. If the campaign didn't work on pof, I'd just use the same domain somewhere else to test.
Mind you when I was starting out I didn't do it this way, I'm not sure whether you are running big numbers or not. If you are starting out and your budget is tight, just get a new domain per niche.
