I've got a good friend who has a small niche site that is growing from SEO and getting sales... They dont have an affiliate system setup right now, but i would like to drive some traffic and see how their products convert as they are getting sales and growing on a daily basis...
How can i track sales through CPVlab if i drive paid traffic to him even though they dont have an affiliate setup...
I can have him change anything on his site to enable this for me... Ie. he can place a tracking pixel or whatever on the thank you page...
1) How can i track sales for 30-60 days after initial visit.
2) Value of Sale
3) Anything else i need to track?
4) All through CPVLab?

Yep you can do this easily with CPVLab, just put an image pixel in the sales confirmation page.
That's all you need to track conversion rate / CR / sales etc.
But, how do i track value of sale and all the other things? Its an online shop so there is no "one" product... I woudl drive traffic and traffic could purchase one of hundreds of things...
On CPVLab when you put an IMG pixel you can also pass sale value.
So , without knowing the exact setup of the website , if you can fetch the sales value in PHP and attach on the img pixel you will be able to track it.
Keep in mind though CPVLab is not programmed to track e-commerce sites in detail.
Last , you could also use Google Analytics if you take the time to setup it.
