Coreg still works well in 2013 - lets share some fresh tips
Hey everybody,
Someone may think that coreg is dead but he will be 100% wrong! the only problem is the RPU, which is now almost twice lower than it was before. I still manage to get amazing ROI's but I feel that I am leaving a lot on the table.
Currently, I work with Fluentco and average 0.5.0.6 RPU. These guys are really good. I've been working with Silver Path too, they are decent as well.
To make money with coreg today you need to find a way to get a cheap traffic, there are tons of way to do that and I am not going to discuss this.
The most important issue for me is to get max out of the traffic I currently have.
- What do you do with a huge databases of user information (name, lastname, cell number and email)
- Do you use additional monetization options? (such as sending emails for example)
Lets share all we know and make the killing with coreg this year!
Best,
Vaz

Nice choice of topic Vaz!
I like coreg a lot because in terms of angles, the only limit is really your creativity.
I would also be interested what people did with their databases of user information. I had some $50k/days in coreg last year, but didn't make a cent from monetizing the user info after the initial user interaction.
Things I did learn along the way were...
- Split testing headers on the path effected data a lot more than I original imagined.
- Asking for reports of traffic break down was very valuable.
- The more I extended the path on my end, the higher the RPU I was able to generate on the coreg path. This didn't effect my lander CTR that bad.

I am not even monetizing EXIT URL at all. Just sending users to the valuable link, I feel that they may go crazy... anyway, I was not successful in monetizing exit url using incent offers.
I still keep thousands of logs in mysql databases, would be happy to monetize it.
Asking for reports of traffic break down was very valuable.
Can you give more info here? do you mean subid's or?
Other things I tried with is, I removed cell phone field from a lander and asked my network to create a path without PSMS offers. Surprisingly, the RPU was still good, only 50% less than the regular one... but still, landing page CTR did not skyrocket.
And one important thing - have anyone ever had a legal issues in regards to trademarks or from people who's phone bills are being charged?

I've gotten several C&Ds because of using trademarks I wasn't supposed to, I keep a lawyer on retainer so I always had him promptly respond to those and get them taken care of. However I don't run co-reg anymore but If I were to start running again I wouldn't tread those waters ever again. I know of people getting into serious trouble because of that and let me tell you it doesn't sound like much fun.

Sounds scary... but lets keep this thread positive, we know that there is much money to be made in coreg without breaking a law

I agree! I've recently have been wanting to get back into co-reg because there are so many endless opportunities when it comes to angling like Mr.Green said, the only thing that limits you is your creativity! If you pair this up with the
RIGHT traffic source that can cater to your angles you can print money all day.
I've never been able to monetize my data myself, but I think if you could it would do wonders to your bottom line.
Also bookashade, Fluent is performing better for you? I was always under the impression they were a subsidiary to SilverPath, but if you're getting higher RPUs over there that is definitely interesting!

Honestly, I had a lot issues with Silver Path. The only positive moment I can recall is my AM, he always tried to help and support my position. On the other hand, Fluent has been very flexible, communications have been super fast, the support was great. I had no "surprise wtf" issues with them.
I don't care what their relationship with SP is but I was getting higher revenue from Fluent. But I will not stop testing, that's for sure.
Anyways, I think that AM plays major role in this case. Also, guaranteed RPU and other stuff does help publishers a lot.

Absolutely, my AM over at SP is awesome and very helpful, but like you mentioned testing is everything especially when it comes to co-reg. Have you used an INTL paths yet? I only ask because I ran some AU traffic to SP's AU path and the RPUs are absolutely killer! I'm talking like a $1++

Yeah I go INTL when ever the offer is on the table. For me it's been hit or miss though, either a new country destroys or totally flops.

Thanks for the tip, going international would be an option.
I'v heard that UK does well too... I never tried other countries (particularly in Coreg) because US market & search traffic volume is so huge that you will always find some holes.
CA/AU/UK/US all should be fine, anyone tried other countries?

Mr Green, can you drop any insight on where to go for more "exotic" INTL preferably non-English paths? I'm assuming that's what you're referring to in your post. To my knowledge SP only offers AU/and UK (although when I tested UK it stunk) I can see sweepstakes/prize promos doing considerably well broad on some exotic foreign countries where the clicks would be cheap.

Haha I'm afraid I won't out my source for the exotic paths.
One thing I wil say though..is in regards to sweepstakes/prize promos, there was actually a penny auction rebill offer around with the sweepstake angle in mind that I promoting on mobile. It FRACKING destroyed for a short period, I'm talking 500% ROI. I'm not sure why it went to down with it was merchant processor problems or whatever. It was on Ploose. If any has the time, contacts, or money to get on of those going again it would be huge money.
