I just did 2hrs of work in 5 seconds!

I cant say much about it, except thanks to one of the mods on here you all will have a tool for FREE that I have been talking about getting made for over a year and will make some aspects of CPV super easy and simple.

thanks im.rat

cant wait for you to wake up

Lucrumnet
p.s. you will love your p202 and cpvlabs data output with this tool

lol The suspense is killing me already ...

Looking forward to what you have in store for us

Thanks

Don't know whats going on but your post has me excited. Any tool that saves time makes my shorts tingle.

06-14-2011 10:26 PM #4 phoenix (Member)

trust me. if I had the authority to upload it. I would have had it all in your hot little hands last night after I told im.rat the idea and 20min later he comes back with it done. And this was something I was told 1. could not be done. 2. people wanted me to pay a lot to do it.

so this shows what happens when genius of concept and skill meet!

and I think we should start a script library and BUST every time waster we know!

do it more than 3x? MAKE A SCRIPT!
spend more than 15min on it? MAKE A SCRIPT!
have 100's of scripts! MAKE A DASHBOARD!

we all got better things to do then sit at our screens doing repetitive tasks IMHO.

so, as soon as he wakes up and gets OK from the TEAM im sure you will have it.

Im off to X-men: 1st Class. It saved me THAT much time today! WOOT!!!

Namaste,
Lucrumnet
btw. great forum guys

Awesome phoenix!

Cant wait to see it.

06-14-2011 10:52 PM #6 tijn (Moderator)

oh the suspense

ill do the post this afternoon as I need to do a quick instruction vid on how to set the tool up and use it. Currently it works for TV but am looking to implement it for LI as well.

when you see it though - its nothing fancy and some will argue its very basic.

in my book -> basic = simple = good!

cya guys

ps sorry for keeping you in suspense a bit longer

06-14-2011 11:15 PM #7 phoenix (Member)

oh my god... there is sunshine outside!

I had forgotten what it was like!!! :P

and no, its not as cool as some intelligent optimizer, but it is a time saver. at least for me and any CPV users.

Hurry up already!!!!

06-15-2011 07:55 AM #10 redtrix (Member)

I just did 60 minutes of work in 3 hours! RAGE!!!

Can't wait to see what this is...

06-15-2011 01:10 PM #11 Bajun (Member)

I'm intrigued to say the least!

06-15-2011 03:29 PM #12 tijn (Moderator)

Damn!!

Sorry guys but need to do some more work on this before I release it. Its got a couple of nasty bugs in some browsers that bugger up your data in Traffic Vance.

It works for me on a mac using chrome and firefox, but its got some nasty bugs in Firefox on Windows 7.

But

Its not fair to leave you in suspense, so I have done a quick video to show you what the tool does and how it helps you be more productive.

Not the usual standard and no music

Installed Mac Osx Lion on my laptop and Screenflow is now no longer working. So using Screenr to do this quick 5 min screen capture.

Hope your ok with that.

Heres the vid

http://screenr.com/I58s

Just wanna give a shout out and thanks to Lucrumnet, aka Phoenix, for giving me a reason to sort this particular problem and make it a lot simpler.

Hopefully I will be able to release it soon.

Cheers
Tijn

ps. What do you think? Is this gonna make your days easier? How would you improve it?

06-15-2011 04:24 PM #13 convinceme (Member)

Looks like a definite time saver.

It's little shit like that that makes me wish I could code. So many little repetitive tasks that need to be automated.

06-15-2011 04:59 PM #14 Daksneezian (Member)

that is awesome Tjin nice work!

06-15-2011 05:29 PM #15 joshtodd ()

Definitely would use. Keep up the good work!

Is this a GreaseMonkey script? Nice job!

Also a good opportunity to hear your awesome accent again

06-15-2011 06:48 PM #17 phoenix (Member)

I know!

Isnt it awesome guys !?

I know its stupid and simple, but if you have spent time copy n pasting and finding from p202 to get rid of losers, ones without traffic, a group you want to increase bid's on or lower. It is such a time saver.

One of my earlier professions was a corporate computer trainer. I was fortunate enough to be hired and work with the Air Forces top computer trainer and strategiest. Literally taught NATO windows.

One of the sayings he emblazoned in my mind was. "If you do it more than 3x or more than 15min and its not creative?! AUTOMATE IT!!! Build a macro, use a trace prg, hire a coder... ANYTHING!!! So you are not wasting your time. That is why computers and software were invented. To free up time and energy to enjoy the fleeting things in life."

So, on that note. Lets start a thread of all the mundane, repetitive tasks we HAVE to do or NEED to do: hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and crack out some code or suggest software that exists or services to eliminate the time and energy drains!

I want to do less of what I have to and more of what I want to do! Dont you ?

This is concept and TIJN wonderful coding is my first group strike against time wasters. What are your time wasters?

Thanks Again to Im.rat
Love what can come out of those late night intercontinental skype chats

That is sick man!

In the TrafficVance target optimization tool, you can paste a list of targets into the target filter box and it will only show those targets. Then you can pause, delete, or adjust bids. That's how I've always done it. Does this do something different?

06-16-2011 12:25 AM #20 tijn (Moderator)

@derekbeau - never realised target optimization had a target filter. just checked it and it looks awesome

06-16-2011 12:40 AM #21 derekbeau (Member)

Greasemonkey is the shit though, I write scripts like this all the time... I just don't bother to polish them for public release since it takes about 1000x longer to make something user friendly and bug free.

06-16-2011 01:42 AM #22 phoenix (Member)

ya I missed that one too. probably because it was not in the area that we actually work with our targets.

now the questions is. do other platforms have this and we are missing it ?

FB ? LI ? PoF?

Anyone know ?

(Still love having this tool)

Lucrumnet

06-16-2011 02:01 AM #23 derekbeau (Member)

LeadImpact has a target filter but it only accepts 1 full or partial target. There may be a way to use "OR" operations in there, or a hack to do it, but I just tried (commas, |s, Ors, quotes, %s, and whatever else I could think of) and can't get it to accept more than 1 search string.

So this tool definitely still has value for other platforms.

06-16-2011 02:04 AM #24 tijn (Moderator)

ill add LI in as a priority.
Then probably FB if people think it will be useful for that.

06-16-2011 02:18 AM #25 derekbeau (Member)

Awesome!

If anyone else has ideas for automation scripts they would like to see made, shoot me a PM. No matter how complex, I can usually find a solution. -- I'll try to take some of the load off tijn and bbrock who [I think] are doing all the coding around here. I've gathered enough profitable ideas from this forum that I think it's time to give back :-)

I won't do mods for CPVLab or Prosper though because I don't use them very often

06-16-2011 08:52 AM #27 izzy (Member)

Awesome. I was going to ask how everyone updated their domains... Thanks tijn

06-20-2011 11:55 PM #28 palmtree (Member)

This is amazing. I have spent sooo many hours going back and forth between tv, li and cpv lab. I can't believe tv had this option the whole time and I didn't even know about it.

06-21-2011 12:37 AM #29 tijn (Moderator)

I still haven't squashed that nastu bug...sorry for the delay.

But

In return I'm also implementing this for Facebook today

06-21-2011 02:38 PM #30 brandyk (Member)

where can I download this at?

06-21-2011 03:01 PM #31 tijn (Moderator)

I haven't released it yet as its got a bug that can mess up your tv campaign. Need to sort that first.

06-22-2011 04:06 PM #32 dave (Member)

this looks like an awesome tool and big time saver, looking foward to it supporting LI also

07-13-2011 04:28 AM #33 topgun (Member)

hi tijn, just wondering if you are still planning to release it...

thanks!
