Hey Yall
Lately I've applied to a handful of dating programs direct. Many of these are CPS or revshare programs.. which is alright with me as I'm tired of seeing once-good CPL offers get scrubbed to hell over time. Some of these are:
Peoplemedia (peoplemeet offers, via CJ.com)
Avalanche (date.com family)
Anastasia (mail order brides)
I plan on promoting these the same way I always have.. via POF and FB. The problem is, the terms on all these programs are strict and assumes you have a site and you're gonna use only their shitty banners, text links, and pre-approved slogans to promote their offers.
I am obviously going to make my own creatives and LPs. All of these merchants were cool with social media traffic through affiliate networks, and they seemed to like my quality.
Should I risk rejection and contact them to make sure that my methods are ok? Or should I just shut up and assume they only care about the money?
I would contact them and just confirm your creating your own creatives and using those sources. Let them know you have ran with networks before, and are looking to run direct the same way. It can't hurt to establish communication right away and be up front right away with them. That's what I always do right away with talking to dating advertisers, sometimes Ill even discuss using free in a call to action and if they allow it if quality still backs out well etc.
CJ is not actually equal to people media direct, people media direct is via people media direct, they typically look for affiliates already pushing 50k / month via a network - CJ is one of the least trustworthy / does not have your back whatsoever so be careful, aka if there is an issue with the advertiser paying, you might as well entrust your money to ryan eagle.
avalanche - i don't know
if you're on a CPL with Anastasia, be careful as they may invalidate the leads if they don't convert at a high enough % into sales.
As a general rule of thumb, with a direct advertiser you're almost always better off contacting them and making absolutely sure that your methods are ok - otherwise do not be surprised when you don't get paid
If you are being scrubbed, it may be a sign that is it not good quality. In order to be on the complete safe side and to establish a good relationship with direct advertisers, it could be a good idea to run through a network and then supply them your ID. This way, they will be able to tell you up front whether they liked your quality (rather than you finding out along with non-payment after you start running with them).
In all cases, I would definitely recommend contacting them and being transparent.
