Intro to the STM Adult SPY Tool (11)
As you know we released the adult spy tool a couple days ago and I wanted to do an intro post how to get the most out of it.
For the ones that missed it, it comes free with your STM account and you can access it anytime from the navigation bar "STM Adult Ad SPY".
As the time of this post the tool has 4+ months of worth of data and growing daily.
First let me come up with a quick list of things you can do with it.
1 - See exactly what ads are being shown in 26 different countries
2 - See what ads are being shown on specific sites ( pornhub / youporn etc)
3 - Spy on your competition directly! Enter their domain name and the tool will give you a list of all their banners / placements
4 - Find the most profitable ads by sorting by "Most Popular". This will give you the ads that have been around the longest ( aka making money)
5 - Get all the info you need about a specific ad. On what placements it is shown / for how long / when it was last seen etc
6 - Search for ads by different ad size
Now to the fun part , some screenshots of how it actually looks like.
This is the main page where you can see the latest ads.
Here you can sort by :
Newest First - The most freshly scraped ads
More Popular - Ads that have been found for the longest period
Less Popular - As per description 
Oldest First - Oldest ads first , good if you want to check what people were running in the past.
Also you can do some reverse engineering by searching for the ads of your competitors if you know their domain :
In this example when I click search I will find all the ads used by adultfriendfinder.com.
The last option on the main page is to search for ads shown on a particular site (publisher).
For example here it will show all the ads collected from Xhamster.com.
We do monitor quite some sites and the keep adding more and more.
Now to the next part, the ad detail page. It shows you all the details you need when you click on an ad.

You can notice here data such as total days seen ( the more the better ), first seen , last seen , landing page , domain , where the ad was found.
Click on the domain name and see all the ads that the domain has been using ( same as searching for it from the main page).
Now this is the basic guide how to use the tool. You can use it to find which offers are doing well , what style of banners are the most popular , landing page ideas etc.
However I don't suggest cloning everything you see, it rarely works. Instead use it to find out which are the best offers around and put your own spin.
Copying an existing ad puts you in disadvantage right away since it won't be fresh and won't have the CTR it had when it was first used.
However see what layout it uses , what colors , what makes it "stick". This will be of great help when designing your own ads.
Finally , quick steps to research for winning campaigns :
1 - Pick a country you want to spy
2 - Sort by "Most Popular"
3 - Go through 4-5 ads that seems to be used by different affiliates. This means it is a working ad layout.
4 - Repeat the same but this time see for landers being used by different affiliates.
5 - Create your own ads by using the same style as ones you saw.
6 - See on which sites ads are showing ( pornhub / xhmaster)
7 - ????
8 - Refresh stats and profit

P.S There are MANY new features coming to the spy tool, coders are already working on it. Can't announce them yet since I want these to be exclusive to our tool.

This is SO powerful if you have a unique adult traffic source that not many affs use.
One thing:
The tool does not appear to be animated GIF friendly. I am seeing gifs on here that are animated on Adult Ad Spy that are not animated on your tool...which means they aren't as good.
Other than that it looks good.

Not sure what that was but the animations are working now. Bleh.
Just an FYI mobile spying has been added!
Just a heads up this is a good moment to test some adult mobile offers.
The competition is not as fierce as on adult web and now the spy tool monitors all the biggest adult sites with mobile inventory.

One of the most important factors in adult mobile is the offer since the landers / banners are pretty much the same.
So look for the 5 top ads in a country you want to advertise and check the offer they sending traffic too.
Odds are most of them are sending to the same offer which most probably is the best converter.
So test that offer on the same placements but start bidding low to get an idea.
After some data you can increase bids and hopefully with volume & quality you will get a better payout which will allow to match the top bids.
Another option is to try running the offer on smaller sites which sell for pretty cheap. It's just a bit more work
So get some mobile campaigns running!!

One question, is this Wi-Fi traffic only?
Also, a feature that would be amazing for this would be to make each banner open in a new tab. If you accidentally left-click on a banner, you have to enter in all of your search criteria all over again. I seem to do that a lot.
Yep this is WIFI only since most adult networks don't even have carrier targetting.
Also adult mobile dating offers tend to work on both carrier & wifi traffic since there is no need for carrier billing.
