Dating affiliates...do you pause on Monday and Tuesday?
I always get creamed these days no matter how hard I try and I always make mega bank on the weekends and do pretty well mid to late week, but these 2 days just destroy me.
It could be because I run adult dating offers which appeal more to the party boy have crazy fun time personality or whatever the female equivalent of that is.
Anyways, do you pause on these days? Do you run some alternative offers? Do you switch things up somehow and still manage to make money or just take a day or two off while people are sorting out their professional life to experiment, come up with angles, designs, etc...
Just wanted to get some feedback on this.

I actually find that Wednesdays are probably my weakest day, but to be honest IMO if you have to pause you probably don't have campaigns that are that strong.

Wednesdays huh?
For me it's been Tuesday but I haven't been in this game long. We are probably in way different markets anyways

Yeah I've rationalized early-workweek as a time where guys are still thinking about and/or frustrated from the weekend before and late workweek as a time where guys are getting ready and pumped for the weekend.
Wednesday is just that awkward in-between moment.
That's just my crazy theory based on my results though

Monday & tuesday are usually still pretty good days for me for mainstream & adult. I actually have the same theory as dusklife about this. Wednesday is also typically my worst day, volume and ROI wise.

Mondays are actually my best days for dating. Tuesday-thursdays are usually my slowest days. I run adult dating.

I find Wednesdays are the weakest too,
I personally run 24/7, I find it becomes too much if I'm turning campaigns on and off and feel like it fucks up my flow. A good campaign should rarely dip into the negative ROI's, have a constant supply of new ads mixed in with the bread winners, you want to build an army of these so you can constantly change them and keep the ROI up instead of getting banner blindness.
Each week I throw in 25-50 new ads into a campaign, 1/4 being just images on previous successful layouts and the other 3/4 is completely new twists. Out of those many many many suck, but if you're adding 5-10 new ads into a mix every week that are profitable it adds some serious longevity to your campaigns and keeps the competition at bay.
If you find mondays and tuesdays are eating up your profits of the week, maybe pause then, but if its still generating a positive ROI there is no need to turn it off.

How do you have time for this?
Sorry I still work 50 hours a week at my job, it is hard for me to get on some of your levels XD

It only takes about 20-30 minutes a day to add a shitload of new ads every day. When you find a system that works and become efficient at it, creating new ads every day becomes simple

Its worth letting campaigns run 24/7, cos the traffic will probably convert later.
Most offers have at least 30 day cookies.

Nope, I keep them running pretty much constantly, although admittedly I don't have a choice on many of my favourite direct placements.
Monday has traditionally been a very good day for me, although I suspect that it has something to do with weekend sign-ups confirming the next day. That might explain why some of you guys are reporting Wednesday as a bad day, if it's actually a better representation of Monday/Tuesday performance. It's difficult to judge daily trends without sending at least medium volume.
If you're talking about a traffic source like POF where it's mostly dating ads, I think the market tends to correct itself automatically. You might have lower performance on certain days, but this will lower the costs as other advertisers with lesser sales funnels drop out of the game. Altering your bid slightly can make a big difference and sometimes even raising a bid on a bad day can produce surprising results. Such is advertising... bang head against wall and move along.
