Is loading CPV Lab on a domain with an install of PIWIK analytics OK to do?

Will it cause any tracking issues to load CPVlabs on a domain with PIWIK or cause the international space station to fall?

I just want CPVLab and PIWIK on the domain, no pages.

Or should I give CPVlab its own domain?

I think the ISS is probably safe

I'm not familiar with PIWIK, I must admit - is there anything specific that you're worried about causing problems?

Generally you should be able to run multiple pieces of software on the same domain if you don't mix their code up, if they are both happy to run in subdirectories, and if they use separate databases.

However, purely for simplicity I'd probably recommend sticking them on separate subdomains unless there's a good reason to keep them all on the same domain.

Can the domain used for tracking be a cheapie - .info ?

Thank you.

Absolutely it can. That's what I use and am pretty sure most are using as well.

Sandy, consider domains to be like shortcuts on your desktop. They point to some specific folder on your hard drive, who cares what you name the shortcut :-)

You can actually get even cheaper than a separate domain - just set up a subdomain of your existing domain. That acts like a separate domain in all important respects, and is free. I've got up to a dozen of them on some domains.

(You can also point them to different servers, which can be handy.)
