Female Dating Ads! What does it takes to make them click?

So I have been testing female ads lately on facebook so that I could tap into as not many affiliate promote dating ads to females. But thats just my point and I may be wrong.
would appreciate suggestions on how to make them click..Images are my only problem seems to be and cant get decent ctr images that could yield some what lower cpc to make my campaigns work.

that's just the way they are. female is tough cause ctr always sucks. i rarely had higher than a .1 and .06-.08 was the norm for me. you could try targeting by interests to help get the ctr up. the key with females is to get you epcs up by using a good lander.

yeah that's what am seeing too, cant get anything above 0.1 level.

Same - it' VERY hard. With a lander I get Network EPCs of $1.20 to $2 but even then very hard to make a reasonable return with such a low CTR.

Given up on female demo for the time being

On a related note (kinda), are people having success advertising regular dating (non-adult) offers ONLY to males on FB? Am I right in thinking that, as long as the traffic backs out, the advertiser doesn't care if you push 100 male leads a day and 0 females? Any insight would be much appreciated. This is more of a general question so excuse me, I don't mean to hijack this thread.

Btw, I have been having good success targeting females on another platform. Women respond to smiles and good hues in the image (play around with Photoshop's hue/saturation screen to achieve a more vibrant look). Ad copy is also more important, it's not just the image. Women want adventure with the promise of security. It's a fine balance...

Really depends on the offer. Be2 for instance will optimise you off in a couple of days if you send all male traffic.

Women much easier to target on POF - especially with the 728s.

Cheers,

Andy

Yes I dont see much dating ads on facebook spy tools that are targeted toward females. But they are spytools and cant catch specifically targeted ads so cant say if people are making it work or not until someone jumps in and says yeah am making it work on this thread and gets bombarded with questions :P

Indeed they convert very well after passing through LP for me too but CTR is what makes me breakeven...

1 tip - Fat women are easier to convert. BBW dating has always worked better for me when doing female demo.

I don't believe it matters if it's male or female leads. Think about this logically, if you're making an advertiser more money than they are paying you then why would they really care if it's male or female? All they care about is that your leads are backing out for them.

Try increasing ad CTR with images of Muscle, Uniforms, Tattoos, Couples, Pets and babies

^ solid info for broad targeting females

With the exception of adult marketing, some advertisers may want to keep a good male vs. female ratio. If everyone brings in male leads the site turns into a sausagefest.

For example for Be2, the best converting demo (for most countries) is females 30+

04-06-2013 11:33 PM #14 vaalion (Member)

On FB I was able to get decent returns on females, about 200% ROI in most mainstream countries besides USA ( I did not even bother there). Ya that CPC rarely goes under 0.30 but the conversions are way higher tahn males, about double to triple for me. So while I can get 0.10 CPC`s for males, my conv % is 2-4% while females I can get 0.30-0.40 CPC's but 10-13% conv.

Be2 on males is a waste of time for me in most countries, they don't convert and they ask me to only keep females in.

With Be2, I've always relied on the sale bonus. Break even with the leads then make your money on the sales. I'm not sure if they still offer this on CJ, but that's where I picked it up before going direct.

Besides the image (which is obviously all-important), one of the key differences between female vs male advertising is to distinguish between emotional and logical thinking. I don't want to get beaten out of town with a stick by any women reading this, but I find that females are much more responsive towards creatives that target holes in their emotional needs, whereas advertising to men is more a case of showing the right cleavage and pouncing on a logical assumption (i.e these women will message you more because, I'm more likely to get laid here because...). With women, they are *usually* more driven by emotional needs, and thus creatives written from a male viewpoint often miss the mark. They target the wrong side of the brain.
