Avoiding the FB ban......
Hey guys,
I am thinking of starting some FB ad campaigns on my personal FB acct (is this advisable?)
I am going to be running legit white hat non smut dating offers......what can I do to avoid the dreaded FB ban? What causes the ban in the first place if your not doing anything shady?
Also I am wondering should I let my accounts spend limit go up on its own without asking for a bump or should I ask for the bump?
Is it possible to keep one account on FB and just not do anything shady and reach a super high ad spend limit?
Thanks in advance
T

if you're doing dating, and want to avoid the ban, don't cloak. don't push the envelope on sexy (cleavage) images. you will get manual reviews by the fb staff and that's when you usually get burned.
let it go up on its own.
define shady. dating on fb is considered shady to them :P

Hi Mike. Look... You've had some great posts, and many people on the forum have been inspired by your success (including myself).
Your approach to redaction of "sensitive" information is perplexing (I could be wrong but you've edited some other posts in the past, no?). Everyone here understands that people aren't going to give their house away. However, your post was short and basically just said that you've been cloaking for a few months and your account is still active. By deleting your post, you are taking away only an example to the contrary, not a secret recipe. You seem like a great guy and I have enjoyed your presence on the forum, but I would recommend you be more conservative in posting and let your posts stand, rather than "divulge" (again, nothing was revealed except the fact you're still going strong cloaking on FB) and ruin the flow of conversation.
Onward and upward!
My thought on the topic: clean accounts can last longer, but cloaking can generate profit on targeting you can't otherwise access. You will have a bumpy ride either way, but for many people it's worth it. If you just run apps, there is still profit to be made and it's super clean, no LP to have MyWot worries about. Good luck.

Run three day on a row to the max spend limit and it will be increased. Clean headshots won't get you banned

Are you sure about this? I have been reading everywhere that any and all limit increases result in bans?

This wouldn't make sense if they banned all accounts which reached spend limit, would it? Like David said, headshots won't get you banned if you follow the correct targeting as well and you're not linking to an offer with a red MyWOT.
Headshots which work well for higher CTR:
Ads targeted to men:
- Women with glasses
- Women with bright eyes
- "Party faces"
- Picture with head + (part of) tattood arm
Ads targeted to women:
- Men with tattoos
- Picture with baby/little kid + man
- Men in uniforms
With ads targeted to women you can show a little bit more skin. These type of ads (see attachment) seem to work well which show muscles but at the same time don't cross the line (this one and more can be found in 1 of the ZIP files maynzie posted on the forum a while ago).

For avoiding the ban, it's pretty much common sense. Facebook likes everything clean, so if your going 1000% whitehat, then pretend 5 year olds are looking at your image. If those images wouldnt be allowed in a elementary school billboard, then don't try to get them approved on Facebook. That will secure a clean account. It will be hard to compete though with other advertisers.
To add on to Scito's CTR tips:
- Tanlines on girls work great, same with girls licking things (both of these things aren't that "safe" though)
- A good solid google tan on a guy might do well too
