What program do you use for creating adult banners?

I'm curious what is the best for creating simple animated gif banners with good graphics and simple effects.

I've been googling this like crazy. Sounds like a lot of you are using photoshop.

Anything you might recommend that is simple and versatile?

photoshop or gimp. Gimp is a little less intuitive but it's free, and there are tons of tutorials regarding gifs / animated gifs / gif optimization available for both

CTRL+C / CTRL+V no need for tools. Just kidding.

Photoshop does pretty much everything you'll need. As soon as you start earning on your AM, it should be quite affordable although obviously a lot of 'Free' versions are available as well :P

PS ftw..learning curve is high..but you can do pretty much everything with it..no need for any other tool.

Photoshop is awesome, it doesn't take long to learn enough to make sweet banners. You definately won't regret learning how to use it.

Photoshop or Fireworks are my preferences, super simple once you get the hang of it you can just bang them out all day long

There are very few areas of work where there's one tool, and one tool only, that totally crushes the competition. Graphics is one of them. Photoshop is so far ahead of any possible competition that it's not even funny. Get it ASAP, you won't regret it.

If you are on a tight budget, you could look into Photoshop Elements which is more than sufficient for AM purposes.

I have been using Pixlr.com with some pretty good success. I also take some ideas and add my own twists to it change the language/run internationally/ add border and just switch things up.

I use Photoshop and Fireworks, but have a preference for Fireworks. I have been using it for around 10 years, it does what I need it to do quickly.
