Facebook ad rotation

Ive noticed on Facebook there ad rotation is quite unbalanced , so some ads will get half the amount of impressions a day than the others etc, is there a rule they have for rotating ads ? like based on CTR , or how do you guys make sure all the ads get the same amount of impressions ?

Run 1 ad per campaign

Facebook serves impressions by maximizing eCPM (naturally). So high CTR ads get more impressions so they can charge you more clicks.

i have 40 ads running in a campaign. my highest ctr ad doesn't get all the clicks. not even my top 5 ctr ads gets the majority of clicks. i have no idea why fb chooses which ad it does. only way to control it is to only allow 1 ad to run by bidding low or pausing the ads you don't want to run. like tom said, if you want to spread the traffic between all the ads evenly, run 1 ad in 1 campaign. fb spreads traffic pretty evenly between campaigns.

Well, I should modify my response to FB TRIES to maximize eCPM by serving ads that they think will do that

I found this issue as well. I mass upload ads for each campaign and look for rotation so I can choose the best performers. But the way the reports show how they are being shown is pretty random. Sometimes the impressions will completely stop for a day then kick back up the next day. Its true though if you ffind an ad performing and then you cut out most the others and just split test a couple images, that you will get a ton of impressions again.

Hey guys, i have a follow up question. Are you bidding against yourself if....

you have multiple ads within a single campaign which have identical targeting? or are they being rotated like POF?

or when

you run your ads in separate campaigns but with identical targeting, like Tom suggested.
