How to write great copy for ads that I want to show in a language other than my own?
Does One Hour Translation help with that?
Do they help with the character limits of the traffic source ? (25/90)
Do they help resolve the cultural and language differences on what slick?
Thank you.
well, split test it ;o)
Google translate
Paid Translation service
Your own translation (if you know the language)
Then see what yields the best results and stick to it
Other than OneHour do you guys know of any good translation services for marketing?
Thank you.
OHT is good, you can explain in the notes that the characters shouldn't exceed 25/90, make it cute in the local slang, etc..and they'll do it.
I've never had a problem with OHT. Explain your requirements and you'll be fine. Might take longer than an hour though!
I tried OHT for france project. I am on 200% ROI.. I don't know whether it's his art or my hard work or offer converting well.. But it worked for me. I tried google and I am unable to cut down characters..
The big thing with One Hour Translation seems to be communicating with your translator as much as possible. I generally tell my translator the demographic I'm targeting, the level of slang I require (formal, colloquial, youth/street, actively offensive
), and if possible the region I'm targeting too. (Think about it - slang in Texas is a lot different to slang in NYC. Ditto Marseille slang vs Paris slang.)
I've had some FANTASTIC slang-heavy translations from a couple of translators that really boosted my CTR - it's worth noting which translators get you the best CTR and sticking with them.
Have a look at this:

Fun fact:
Some affiliate has been screwed by his translator for a FR camp that basically says: "Want to be fucked tonight?", instead of "Want to fuck tonight?".
Who knows, maybe it's actually a winner campaign
it would work. his translation sounds like girl on top to me :P
If you're concerned about that sort of thing, OHT does also offer a proof-reading service to check your ad says what it's meant to say. Costs more, but not much more.
Thank you szmudo,lifetweak,Finch,dinesh1625, caurmen, Julien and 2modest.
As always, some sound and good advise shared.
Although I have not tried it, I heard that Fiverr is a good source because you would be using someone directly from the country that knows the proper slang terminology.
Just use someone who has a very high success rate and high ratings.
