Not been posting a lot lately because I have been lazy and there has been major facebook turmoil. I have a $xxxx per day facebook business and did not want to risk my account until I figured out what was going on. I also had to set up a new tracking domain and prosper install. So this is what I know FOR A FACT. Facebook has upgraded it's automated requirements for ad approvals. Especially when we are talking about basic TOS guidelines such as interested in targeting. I tried to sneak a few international ads through without out interested in selected. They did not get approved, but went into review process and eventually were denied hours later. Then I duplicated these exact same ads and changed the interested in criteria to women. The ads were approved within 2 minutes. Moral of the story: Yes not selecting interested in can get you a lower CPC advantage; however, the extra risk is not worth it. If you have good international ads, you might be looking at a .05 CPC versus a .12 CPC. It just isn't worth it. Get a ton of ads approved and then maybe try to sneak a few through, but it's not necessary. Stack that money, and move forward
Agreed. Chosing the proper targeting is a smart idea. Leaving out targeting options (not selecting interested in) is a bad idea and will cost you more money in the long run.
Cliff's Notes :
Using interests helps with approvals and CPC.
Thank you both.
Great advice naesm. Any tips for obtaining new accounts if you do get banned? Or have you done this all w/ one account?
Thank you Thomas!
