Still focus on 1 traffic source now? (11)

Still focus on 1 traffic source now?

Hi guys,

I'd like to raise a question:

So the normal suggestion is to stick with 1 traffic source. But in adults, many have said that TJ and Exo are too competitive/ bids too high. Also, it seems that those finding exclusive adult traffic sources are the ones who are succeeding.

Do you think we should focus on 1 traffic source or keeping finding new in adults?

(A little bit more: I think the "stick with 1 source" suggestion is good if we are talking about FB and other sources that have a lot of traffic and can work well with different markets. E.g. PPV, Sitescout, Search Traffic. Otherwise, if we focus on one market, it's the game of finding unsaturated traffic. )

I think you're totally right because you're focused on one niche. If you have some winning banners -> LPs -> converting offers on TJ and/or Exo then it's the best time to look for more volume via less competitive traffic sources.

You could stick with TJ / EXO, but go for less competitive placements and countries. If your goal's $200 a day, it's quite doable.

"Many have said..." "Also, it seems that." A lot of your wording is based on other's experiences rather than your own. Take action and make judgements based on your own data rather than what someone said on a forum.

I don't think that it's a game of finding unsaturated traffic because people are making $x,xxx+ a day on competitive markets. It's more a game of focusing on getting access to the best offers and becoming a better marketer (better angles, landing pages, creatives, bidding processes, etc.)

Thanks dr_ngo! Your constructive criticism cannot be truer. I should test myself rather than forming my opinions based on others' experience.

Great tips from the dr!

A very large part of the industry would be considered 'competitive' these days. It just means you have to work harder, focus your efforts better, and go the extra mile.

I definitely can see the benefit of working with a source you're used to but with adult, when you have a profitable campaign SCALE SCALE SCALE - MOAR SOURCES!!!

flat buys - direct buys - ALL THE BUYS!!

I often recommend JuicyAds to beginners for the simple reason that there are no approvals and you can make changes on the fly.

It's not always the highest quality traffic, but while you're still learning, it pays to be keeping active. Traffic sources with long approval times can eat away at your motivation and throw you in to a spiral of inactivity.

Nail down your conversion flow on Juicy, then take it to the big scalable players.

Small question talking about Juicy Ads, would you recommend to go right away with short time fixed buy for placements or RON as well? Often enough RON is the unsold space only = poor quality hence asking.

I prefer to go for fixed buy placements so I can nail down the angle and optimise my creatives. RON isn't always the greatest quality, like you say, but it's not the worst. A good landing page can still save you from getting pulled.
